Honesty (the silver dollar plant)

This piece is hand embroidered.

Honesty seed pods were used with disperse dyes to print on sheer fabrics which were then layered onto hand dyed muslin.

The dyed seed pods were attached and the white 'fake' seed pods were made using dissolvable fabric.

Treasure Box

An inherited bundle of old letters and an old stamp collection needed a home.

With a calligraphy theme the box panels are layered with bits of old letters, stamps and sayings. All the envelopes open and contain small mementos and keepsakes.

Hand dyed fabrics layered with chiffon, free motion machine embroidered, hand made silk flowers.
